Greer Ellison graduated from Oberlin College in 1974. She plays flute with the California Symphony. She has concertized and given master classes in South America and the US including a full recital and master class on baroque flute at the National Flute Convention in 2010. She was principal flute of the Portland Baroque Orchestra for 10 years and is a past member of the SF Philharmonica Baroque Orchestra. Her degrees: BM from Oberlin Conservatory; MM from U of Michigan plus degrees from The Royal Conservatories in London and The Hague during study on an ITT grant for 2 years. Greer also teaches the Alexander Technique. She has taught flute in many colleges in the US and is now teaching at UCSC and in her Palo Alto home.
