Clash of the Tartans is a Cleveland-based folk band specializing in Celtic and American folk music. Â We add our own twist to traditional favorites.
Alyssa Schreiber- Lead Fiddle
Since the age of 9, Alyssa has been discovering a love of classical violin and Celtic fiddle tunes. She went on to study at Baldwin Wallace Universities, Conservatory of Music where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education. Alyssa currently teaches violin, viola and piano in her studio as well as runs the Kindermusik program at Royalton Music Center. She finds great joy in sharing her love and passion for music with her Clash of the Tartans sisters. Sláinte!
Erica Tompkins- Fiddle/Bodhran
Erica grew up in a musical home and has studied music theory and Improvisation. She loves of role of harmonizing in the ensemble. Erica finds great joy in fiddling as well as playing the Irish bodhran and other Percussion instruments. For her, it’s all about having fun with music and friends.
Elizabeth Crowe-Cello/Banjo/Percussion
Elizabeth practiced her cello scales very seriously in a seventh floor studio over-looking the Eiffel tower. Since then, her focus has been playing exclusively gleeful music with convivial ensembles, such as Clash of the Tartans.  Elizabeth is a regular performer at the Cleveland Zoo and other places of joy, and thinks that mirth is very important.Â
Georgeann Tropiano- Guitar/Vocals
Georgeann joined Clash of the Tartans in November 2014. Georgeann is the driving rhythmic force for the group on guitar and is also the primary vocalist for the group. Outside of music, Georgeann is the owner and operator of Hands for Health Massage Therapy.
